"Our commitment to the growing number of shopping center owners and retailers in Central and Northern New Jersey requires a greater presence in the market," says Brandon Famous, the firm's founder and CEO, in a statement. "It requires the kind of hands-on treatment that our brokers can provide."

"Fameco has taken 2,700 sf at 555 Hwy. US 1, also known as Woodbridge Towers," and according to Famous will take additional space as the Woodbridge office continues to staff up."

The office is initially being staffed by Mike Horne, one of Fameco's top producers, whose focus has traditionally been this region, and industry veterans Steven Winters and Carlo Caparruva. Michelle Merkel, another Fameco headquarters veteran, will head the administrative side. The aim, company officials say, is to grow the office to between eight and 12 salespeople and property managers by 2009. The company currently has more than three million sf of leasing, disposition and management assignments in the central/northern New Jersey region.
