O'Rourke, Touhy Buy Floor at 55 W. Wacker

CHICAGO-Nearly 40,000 sf in the 15-story office building has been sold to occupants after the building was acquired by Cape Horn Group in 2006.

CHICAGO-The Chicago law firms of O’Rourke & Moody and Touhy, Touhy, Buehler & Williams have teamed up to acquire a floor in the 15-story building at 55 W. Wacker Dr., here. The two firms bought the 14th floor of the 209,000-sf building, says Juan DeAngulo, regional manager for building owner Cape Horn Group. The sales price for the 14,250 sf was $3.6 million, he says.

DeAngulo and Russ Cora, also with Cape Horn Group, represented the building owner in the sales transaction. Stuart Eng and Howard Ecker, both with Howard Ecker and Co., represented the two law firms in the transaction. Both firms are currently at 161 N. Clark St. and will be moving into 55 W. Wacker next week, DeAngulo tells GlobeSt.com.
