"The alliance will offer our clients seeking a 1031 exchange another option," says Jeffrey Wiener, president and co-managing director of Kislak, in a statement, "by informing our clients of this alternative investment opportunity, they will find more suitable ways to meet their goals, whether they are income-generating, property consolidation or diversification."
Joshua Slaybaugh, president and founder of Trade Up 1031, says that "a 1031 exchange is one of the most important options available to a real estate investor. It's amazing to me that people don't even consider a like-kind exchange when reinvesting their real estate dollar. There's certainly a lack of awareness that the option even exists, and there's also an absence of qualified people to offer guidance and expertise in the tax and real estate arena."
As part of the alliance, Slaybaugh will also list and sell investment real estate with Kislak. Further details of the arrangement were not released.
