Colliers, which offers both exclusive tenant representation and land development, has retail specialists located spread throughout its Bay Area offices, which include San Jose, Oakland, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, Santa Rosa, Solano, Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno and Bakersfield. The addition of retail expertise to the San Francisco office completes the company's effort to enhance its retail services throughout the Northern California market.

Neither McMasters nor Thomas Lawwill, managing director of the San Francisco office, was immediately available Tuesday for comment. "San Francisco represents one of the key retail markets nationally and is a focal point for most of the International retail community," McMasters says in a prepared statement. "Adding retail to the existing scope of services … is a pivotal moment in the Colliers International San Francisco Office."

James McMasters is joined in San Francisco by Colliers Senior Associate Laura Michel and Steve Amano. Michel has 20 years of commercial real estate experience that for the last five years has been focused on retail services. She joined Colliers in 2005 and has been based out of the Walnut Creek office. Amano, new to commercial real estate, has seven years of experience in residential real estate.
