"Kendall Town & Country Center is the kind of high-quality property that is consistent with our approach to real estate," Denise Maxwell, asset management director for TIAA-CREF Global Real Estate, said in a release. She added that JLL's involvement is expected to maximize the property's value for both tenants and investors.

Greg Maloney, president and CEO of JLL's retail division, says the project will include a variety of anchor, lifestyle and specialty shops serving the South Florida market. The firm's open-air retail team has been assigned to the development and includes Mike Longmore, Sig Arnesen, Chris Rehmet, Karen Sanzo and Cindy Stasie, he says.

The 72-acre, five-pad site will eventually feature a 290,000-sf open-air lifestyle center and a 465,000-sf town center with entertainment, restaurants and specialty retail, JLL says. The firm's open-air team currently leases and manages 27 properties with more than 4.6 million sf nationwide.
