Tucker Hands Out Liberty Plaza Assignment

NEWARK-The $200-million, 500,000-sf downtown mixed-use is officially on the market for office and retail tenants.

NEWARK-Tucker Development Corp. rolled out its plans for Liberty Plaza in April, and the $200-million, 500,000-sf MXD has taken another step forward with the addition of a leasing agent to the project team. The Highland Park, IL-based Tucker, which recently opened a local office to oversee the development, has hired Cushman & Wakefield to market the property for office and retail tenants.

Specifically, James Frank and David Stifelman will head a six-person C&W team out of the firm’s East Rutherford, NJ office. The first new mixed-use project in this city in more than 15 years, Liberty Plaza will rise 26 stories, with 300,000 sf of class A office space on its lower floors, 50,000 sf of retail space on its bottom two floors, topped off by a 200-room hotel.
