Deloitte Buys Circle T Land for $300M Campus

WESTLAKE, TX-Setting up another grand win locally, Deloitte has taken a stake in Hillwood's Circle T Ranch to build a 750,000-sf campus. Work starts in 2009.

WESTLAKE, TX-In a resounding vote of confidence for the region, Deloitte LLP will invest $300 million into Dallas/Fort Worth to build a learning and leadership development center. More details will follow as the day plays out, but the win marks the second large deal that the region has bed down in recent days.

The New York City-based Deloitte’s executive team has acquired land off Texas 114 in Circle T Ranch from Hillwood. Word first surfaced in March that Dallas/Fort Worth was under consideration for the project. The tentative plan calls for a 2009 construction start on the 750,000-sf campus, with the ribbon-cutting penciled for 2011.

Deloittte’s decision adds 100 jobs to its 3,300-member team in Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth. In addition to the immediate gain for North Texas, Deloitte’s press release points to additional economic benefits from service contracts plus the traditional add-on from business travelers’ demands.
