Consolidated has acquired the single-story asset for its corporate operations center and sales office, in a deal that closed in June. The 22-year-old facility was formerly occupied by lessee Allied Envelope and the seller was original developer Russo Development of Hackensack. The broker was Greg Sholom of locally based Team Resources; the sale price was not disclosed.

"The move to New Jersey will give us a number of significant opportunities not only to grow our business, but also to improve our efficiencies," says David Meberg, Consolidated's president.

The revamped building will also have a distinct Consolidated touch. Among other things, the warehouse area will feature a number of industrial flooring systems that will serve as a showroom. The company's business is also growing to the extent that it has the contract for work at the New York Mets' new Citi Field home stadium, a project that includes more than two dozen different surfacing finishes.
