The law firm is expected to move into the building by the end of the month. "Expansion into the Chicago market was important to meet the growing needs of our Midwest clients," firm COO Roger Flower said in a statement. The firm has seven offices worldwide and has a goal to expand its Chicago office to more than 50 professionals, according to the statement. The 65-story office tower was constructed in 1990 and has a total of 1.4 million sf, according to information on a website for the building. The building is owned by 311 S. Wacker LLC and is managed by CB Richard Ellis.

Corporate managing director Tiffany Winne and executive managing director, both with Studley, represented Baker & Daniels in the sublease transaction. Douglas Asad and Jeff Samaras, both with Cushman & Wakefield, represented GE Capital in the transaction.
