Winter Construction Co. has signed on for a 25,000-sf, full-floor lease, becoming the latest of several firms relocating to Downtown Atlanta from the booming Midtown and Buckhead districts. Winter will move from 1330 Spring Street NW.

Accounting giant Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu has agreed to take two additional floors totaling 52,000 sf. The firm signed a 260,000-sf renewal and expansion at 191 Peachtree in January, making it one of the largest tenants in the 1.2-million-sf tower named for its physical address at 191 Peachtree Street NE. Don Finkelstein of Finkelstein Associates represented Deloitte and Richard Bowers and Jim Davenport of Richard Bowers & Co. represented Winter in the transactions.

"Even as the economy has become more challenging, we are pleased to see good leasing momentum at One Ninety One and remain confident that companies will continue to see the benefits of Downtown Atlanta," said Tom Bell, chairman and CEO of Cousins, in a press release. Atlanta-based Cousins purchased One Ninety One in August 2006 for $153 million, or $127 per sf, when the building was only 20% occupied. In addition to moving its headquarters there, it has since signed more than 765,000 sf in new leases to a broad range of tenants such as architecture, law and financial services firms.
