The company has had a tenant representation team in Chicago for 17 years, which will continue to be led by Steve Swanson, executive vice president of the Chicago office. Murphy will help lead the office for the company's project leasing and development services team in Chicago.
He had previously been a partner with NAI Hiffman and was chair of the global retail council for the firm. Ilekis will be a vice president with the company's Chicago office and Graves will be an associate with Staubach Retail's Chicago office. Ilekis and Graves had both previously been at NAI Hiffman as well, Murphy says.
"We wish Ryan success as he pursues a retail developer strategy. Due to our focus at NAI Hiffman to lease space, represent tenants and provide 3rd party management services, we have no doubt we will continue to work with Ryan in a number of areas over the coming years," says Dave Petersen, COO of NAI Hiffman.
Staubach Retail now has a total of 10 brokerage professionals in its Chicago office. "We are aggressively pursuing growth," Murphy says, both with increasing the amount of staff in the office and the amount of clients. The office's clients include JC Penney, Citibank, Lowe's, Justice Just for Girls, Carter's, Cricket Communications and Discount Tires.
