GE Unit Invests $141M in Wind Farm

FORBES, ND-GE energy Financial Services is partnering with ACCIONA–a wind farm developer–and investing $141 million in the Tatanka Wind Farm on the border of North Dakota and South Dakota. The farm is the first wind farm in the US entirely built by ACCIONA. This investment adds to GE Energy Financial Services’ $4 billion renewable energy portfolio.

GEEFS is investing with Wachovia Investment Holdings LLC providing structured equity for the 18-megawatt wind farm. The farm, covering 14,000 acres in Dickey, McIntosh and McPherson counties. The three counties span a part of the North Dakota-South Dakota border. Dickey County has 61 turbines, McPherson County has 59 turbines and McIntosh hosts transmission lines.
