Amazon Signs 947,000-SF Lease at AirTech Park

PLAINFIELD, IN-Amazon.com Inc. is leasing space at the business park being developed by ProLogis and Browning Investments Inc.

PLAINFIELD, IN-Amazon.com Inc., based in Seattle, has signed a lease for a 947,000-sf industrial facility at 715 Airtech Pkwy. at AirTech Park, here. The park is being developed by a joint venture of ProLogis and Indianapolis-based Browning Investments Inc. The term of the lease was not disclosed. Representatives from ProLogis were not immediately available for comment.

The facility will be used as a primary Midwest distribution center, according to a release from ProLogis. “This is one of ProLogis’ single largest lease agreements for new inventory space in North America this year,” ProLogis senior vice president and Midwest regional director Doug Kiersey said in the statement.
