Lindsay Allen, a protégé of a Transwestern Dallas veteran, is ready to solo after four years at the side of managing director Thomas E. Clarke. "It was a great learning experience and we closed a lot of transactions together," she tells GlobeSt.com, "but opportunity knocks. He opened the door and taught me all that he knows and for that I am forever grateful." The duo has been together at two brokerage houses, with Clarke planning to solo now that Allen's gone her own way.
Allen's charge is to lay the groundwork and build traction in the coming months. The former Transwestern vice president will focus on building a book of multifamily development sites and redevelopment opportunities, working closely with ARA Dallas' private client group. In 2006, the Dallas-groomed broker was named Santa Ana, CA-based Grubb & Ellis Co.'s national rookie of the year.
