Earp is also responsible for maintaining the integrity of the firm's physical assets and maximizing returns from the commercial real estate portfolio. Before joining Grubb & Ellis last year, he was a VP of property management with CB Richard Ellis and held similar positions with Edens & Avant.

"Brett is an enthusiastic professional with an in-depth background in property and asset management," Kent Peters, VP of asset management with Santa Ana, CA-based Grubb & Ellis, said in announcing Earp's promotion. "He is a dedicated individual with more than 14 years of experience and offers a vast amount of knowledge and good judgment to our clients and his colleagues."

Earp is a member of the CCIM Institute, an elite group of more than 9,000 professionals worldwide who hold that designation. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
