One new unit, of 33,000 sf in Plymouth Meeting, PA, has opened in 2008. Under construction are units in South Arlington, TX (opening in November); and Tulsa, OK (to open early in the next calendar year). Units in Richmond, VA; and Indianapolis will open in the first and second quarters of 2009, respectively.
"We're still going through the details for the last couple of 2009 openings," stated Steve King, CEO.
Plans for the IPO are continuing as scheduled, with the company responding to Securities & Exchange Commission questions to its documents.
Total revenues were $136.2 million, up 3.5% from the previous year. Comparable-unit sales rose 1.2%. EBITDA (modified) was $19.6 million, up 6.4% from the previous year.
Dave & Buster's has 50 company-operated stores in North America.
