"We've been growing and we needed more space for our growing office," Jim Lidbury, a mergers and acquisitions partner who heads the Chicago office, tells GlobeSt.com. Lidbury said the space was selected for its convenient location in the Wacker business corridor with proximity to public transportation. The building was completed in 2005 as a LEED-CS Gold certified building.
Boston-based Ropes & Gray has grown quickly since its foray into the Chicago market earlier this year, Lidbury says. The firm is establishing a presence in the market with its expanding private equity, M&A and securities litigation practice. Until last week, the company occupied space at One S. Dearborn.
