Homewood Suites Opens in Airport West

MIAMI-The 124-room hotel, the chain's second location here, targets extended-stay travelers.

MIAMI-A second Homewood Suites by Hilton location has opened in the Airport West submarket at 3590 NW 74th Ave. The new hotel has a total of 124 studio, one- and two-bedroom residential-style suites, with amenities including a shuttle to nearby Miami International Airport, an outdoor swimming pool, 900 sf of meeting space, an executive business center and free Internet access.

The hotel is owned and managed by Boca Raton-based Economos Properties and is part of the company’s $50-million project for that area, including a 190-room Hilton Garden Inn and 13,000-sf restaurant pad. “We continue to see strong demand in the extended-stay hotel segment and feel this property helps to fill a need in the vicinity of Miami International Airport,” says W. Bryan Boger, general manager for the Homewood Suites property.
