NEW YORK CITY-Rockefeller Group International Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Estate Co. Ltd., revealed that Jonathan Green, currently president and CEO of the company, will become vice chairman, and Kevin Hackett will succeed him as president and CEO of Rockefeller Group International. Both appointments are effective Jan. 1, 2009.

The Board’s decision was revealed by chairman Nobuyuki Iizuka, who says in a prepared statement that “with these two accomplished executives at the helm the future of the Rockefeller Group is limitless. We have retained the sagacity and experience of Mr. Green while taking advantage of the insights and experience Mr. Hackett has brought to the company since joining us in 2004.”

Hackett

Green has been with the Rockefeller Group for 28 years. In his new role, he will become the first vice chairman in the company’s history, and is expected to guide the company’s growth and strategic business plan, according to a prepared release. Hackett, who joined the company in February 2004 as COO of the subsidiary Rockefeller Group Development Corp., will now oversee operations of all of the companies in his new role as president and CEO of the parent, Rockefeller Group International. Together they are expected to continue the company’s growth in the areas of real estate development, investment management and real estate-related service.

Green joined the Rockefeller Group in 1980 as assistant VP and real estate counsel and was named chief corporate officer from 1990 to 1995. In 1995 he became president and CEO of Rockefeller Group Development and Rockefeller Center Management Corp., which were subsequently merged to form Rockefeller Group Development. In 2002, Green was appointed president and CEO of Rockefeller Group International, serving in that role for the past six years.
