SCOTTSDALE, AZ-City council’s review of the $600-million Solis Scottsdale Resort and Residences has been pushed from Nov. 18 to Dec. 9. Scottsdale Canal Development LLC submitted the request for continuance two days ago.

The review focuses on permission to remove the Salt River Project’s electrical substation from the site at Scottsdale and Camelback roads. The Scottsdale development company, led by Mark Madkour, is planning to cover the costs for a new substation at 68th Street and Indian School Road, which needs to be rezoned for that use.

Madkour tells GlobeSt.com the continuance was requested because of design issues that need to be completed before the project is presented to city council. “We’re in final meetings to get everything clarified,” he says.
