Entech kept its headquarters and production move under wraps asit set up shop at 13301 Park Vista Blvd., a 142,500-square-footspec project that was part of Hillwood's 2007 development push tocreate ready-to-go space for the market. The lease includes fiveacres across the street for Entech's solar module testing. TarrantCounty tax records show Entech's headquarters moved from 1077Chisholm Trail in nearby Keller and the sales and service teamrelocated from 1714 Higgins Lane in nearby Haltom City.

Tony Creme, vice president of Hillwood Properties, tellsGlobeSt.com that the developer plans to "explore" using Entech'stechnology in its future buildings. Last year, Hillwood constructedfive spec buildings, totaling 1.8 million square feet, at variousspots in the 17,000-acre AllianceTexas. "By bringing Entech toAlliance, it's a big step for us," he says. "It's one of the firstbig steps to learn about that technology so we can implement it inour development."

Creme says Entech has a right of first refusal on the balance ofGateway 23 as part of the direct deal. Hillwood's point man sayshe's been talking with Entech "on and off" for a couple years, butit moved in a more serious direction about six months ago. Hillwoodis quoting $4.90 per square foot for Gateway 23, with $5 per squarefoot as the tenant-improvement allowance.
