According to Alan Casden, CEO of Casden Properties, the Trader Joe's is targeted to open at the corner of Glendon and Weyburn in November. Other retailers expected to open before the end of the year include Pastagina, an Italian restaurant that will offer both in-restaurant and in-apartment service; Rite Aid, It's a Grind Coffee Shop and Jersey Mike's Subs.

Palazzo Westwood Village is within walking distance of shopping, movie theaters, restaurants and other amenities. The project, which revitalized the historic Glendon Manor, houses two-story townhomes on its upper level as well as a spa and fitness center on the first floor.

The units at the new complex provide city or courtyard views, and each has a private terrace. All have gourmet kitchens, fireplaces, high ceilings, large terraces and wood-style floors. More than 500 additional parking spaces are available for retail tenants and public use.

Other amenities at the complex include a resort-style pool, a private sun deck, a concierge service, a 30-foot rock climbing wall, a weight room and exercise studio, steam rooms, saunas, showers and daily classes that include yoga, pilates, kickboxing and spinning. An executive center at the complex is furnished with the latest technology, office equipment and a conference room.
