Cosmetics Company Getting New US HQ

CLIFTON, NJ-The two-story, 30,000-square-foot building will rise in the footprint of a demolished industrial building.

CLIFTON, NJ-Salerm Cosmetica Professional Inc. is getting a new headquarters building near its existing facility at 242 South Parkway here. The two-story, 30,000-square-foot facility will be erected within the footprint of a post-war industrial building, which has been demolished.

The site will serve as the North American headquarters for Salerm Cosmetica, a Barcelona, Spain-based company that distributes hair salon products, equipment and furniture. The building will provide a combination of office, showroom and warehouse space. A completion date and the cost of the facility have not been released.

It will also be the global company’s first to be designed using sustainable principles and LEED guidelines, according to Justin Mihalik, a principal of the Livingston, NJ-based Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, which is doing the civil engineering work for the site and design and engineering work for the building itself.
