K&L Gates Starts Troubled Assets Group

CHARLOTTE, NC-The law firm's local office heads up a global task force.

CHARLOTTE, NC-K&L Gates LLP has launched a global task force dealing with distressed real estate. David H. Jones, a partner in the law firm’s local office, heads the global group, which crosses several offices, disciplines and practice groups within and outside the US.

The 20-lawyer group will assist lenders, special servicers and asset management firms with restructuring distressed real estate loans and positioning foreclosed assets for successful sale. The task force allows K&L Gates to help clients with all types of troubled real estate matters throughout the US and the UK, as well as parts of Europe and Asia.
