Cobb Theatres Joins Hyde Park Village

TAMPA, FL-The new CineBistro will be an improvement over the old Sunrise Cinema.

TAMPA, FL-Owners of the local Hyde Park Village retail complex have signed a new lease with Birmingham, AL-based Cobb Theatres for a new six-screen CineBistro offering upscale dining and drinks along with first-run feature films. Construction of the new theater is scheduled to start early next year on the site of the former Sunrise Cinema, which closed in 2006.

CineBistro will also include space for small theater productions and private meetings, according to Providence, RI-based Wasserman Real Estate Capital, which has been majority owner of the 275,000-square-foot complex for the past three years. Each theater will have roughly 85 seats, and moviegoers must be over 21 to get in for screenings.
