Spencer Trask Subleases 17,350 SF

GREENWICH, CT-The private equity firm is taking the space in 1700 East Putnam Ave. here. The asking price for space is $56 per square foot.

GREENWICH, CT-Spencer Trask & Co., a New York-based private equity firm, is subleasing 17,350 square feet at 1700 East Putnam Ave. Spencer Trask is signing an eight-year lease with the building’s owner, Related Properties Corp., according to a source unassociated with the deal. The firm will relocate its “executive offices and operations” here, according to a release, referring to the new Greenwich location as its “headquarters.”

Budd Wiesenberg, VP of CB Richard Ellis’ Stamford, CT office, and Gerry Miovski, SVP of CBRE’s New York office, repped Spencer Trask, along with EVP William Cuddy and senior managing director Robert Caruso, both from the Stamford office. Gerard Hillock and John Stoddard of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the sublessor, and undisclosed consulting firm.
