SAN FRANCISCO-CB Richard Ellis is beefing up its capital markets national loan sale advisory group with industry veteran Kurt Altvater, most recently an SVP with Countrywide Commercial. Altvater will be a San Francisco-based SVP with CBRE as well, assisting clients with mortgage loan sales within California and throughout the US.

While at Countrywide, Altvater led loan originations for the Northern California, Northwest and Intermountain regions, making approximately $1 billion in loans and completing multiple loan sales. Immediately before Countrywide, Altvater spent several years originating CMBS loans for with Bank of America and Nomura Securities. Prior to that, he spent six years as a loan workout specialist with the Fuji Bank and Mellon Bank, responsible for $600 million in assets.
