Truex To Run Puget Sound Ops for Colliers

SEATTLE-Peter Truex, currently SVP of Colliers International’s Seattle office, will gain oversight over the Bellevue, Tacoma and Olympia offices as well in January, following the departure of John Powers. Like Powers, who is leaving for as yet undisclosed reasons, Truex will be senior managing director of the Puget Sound region and have the responsibility of supervising the management of all four offices, which are owned and operated by Colliers Macaulay Nicolls, the largest member of Colliers International.

Truex, who has 25 years in the industry, was an SVP in the Seattle office of Staubach Co. prior to joining Colliers in 2004. Powers, the one-time mayor of Spokane, WA, joined Colliers in January 2007. Prior to that, he was chief executive of the economic development council serving Seattle and King County. Neither Truex not Powers was immediately available Wednesday morning for comment.
