CORAL GABLES, FL-Flagler Real Estate Services LLC has signed DSV Air & Sea Inc. to a 57,733-square-foot lease for three years at AMB Beacon Centre, in Miami's Airport West industrial submarket. The firm has totaled nearly 400,000 square feet in leases since August, when Flagler signed Interport Services and B America Corp. to nearly 120,000 square feet there.
Flagler's George Pino, vice president, and Jason Tresslar, senior associate, represented landlord AMB Property Corp. in those transactions, while Elizabeth Santos of CB Richard Ellis represented DSV. The deal is among one of the largest industrial leases signed within Airport West this year.
Pino cites Beacon Centre's proximity to Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami as giving it an advantage within the crowded Airport West submarket. DSV will move into its new space early next year after upgrades to the building are completed, he says.
Flagler Development Group, formerly Codina Development, originally developed Beacon Centre before selling it to AMB in 2000. Jose Hevia, president and CEO of Flagler Development, complimented Pino and Tresslar on their leasing progress, adding: "With the tight economy and today's surplus of available commercial space, companies are being more cautious than ever with their real estate decisions."
