Real Estate New Jersey. Wood, a 16-year veteran of the firm, formerly served as senior editor of Real Estate Forum and managing editor of Real Estate Southern California. The promotion is the latest piece in an ongoing restructuring strategy taking place at the Real Estate Group.

Real Estate New Jersey is the most prominent publication focusing on the business of commercial real estate in the Garden State. The magazine boasts a circulation of 12,000 professionals.

Maria Wood brings to her new post an understanding of the forces behind the trends shaping the commercial real estate industry and the greater business market that drives it. Previously, in her role as senior editor of Real Estate Forum, Maria covered a range of cutting-edge topics, with a special focus on hotels and finance. She is also editor of the Hotels Sector page of GlobeSt.com, the predominant daily news and information website of the real estate industry.

But Wood's focus hasn't always been on the national scene, and prior to joining Real Estate Forum she was a correspondent for the Record in Hackensack, NJ. She also served stints as a news editor for the American Journal of Nursing and deputy copy chief for Woman's World magazine.
