Locally-based Clayco has teamed with Chicago-based U.S. Equities and St. Louis-based Koman Group to develop the project. Koman's involvement was part of the revised plan, but it's total dollar investment in the project was unspecified.
The 20-story mixed-use development at the corner of Forsyth Boulevard and Hanley Road will expand the current Centene HQ, add retail and office space, as well as a parking garage.
According to reports, the new plan will include 481,000 square feet of office space instead of the original 550,000 square feet. The parking garage will contain between 882 to 1,208 spaces rather than the initial proposal of 1,164 spaces. The retail component will shrink from 34,000 square feet to 28,125 square feet.
These changes reduce the tax abatement value from $22 million to $18.9 million.
