CBRE Taps Gialanella to Head Mgmt Team

SADDLE BROOK, NJ-In a series of management moves, CB Richard Ellis is naming David Gialanella as head of its Garden State management team, while Jeff Hipschman expands his role to focus on statewide oversight of all the firm's business lines.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ-CB Richard Ellis EVP of brokerage David Gialanella has been tapped to lead the firm’s New Jersey management team. In other executive changes, Jeff Hipschman–senior managing director–expands his role to focus on the management of all the firm’s business lines statewide.

In a prepared statement, Mitchell E. Rudin, president and CEO of the firm’s New York Tri-State region, says that Gialanella will serve as a “conduit between New Jersey and the work he continues to perform as our global head of transactions services and a member of the Americas brokerage management team.”

It was further announced that Ray Sohmer, executive managing director and the former market leader for New Jersey, is returning to full-time brokerage in the state. He joined CBRE in 2001, and assisted the state’s operating platforms through two major integrations: Insignia/ESG in 2003 and Trammell Crow Co. in 2006-07.
