Liverpool, NY-based Raymour & Flanigan has 87 locations in the Northeast and is looking to expand. Columbus Commons opened in 2004. Other tenants in the 643,810-square-foot center include Ikea, Best Buy and Champps.

Adam Rosenzweig, director of leasing of the Blue Bell-based Goldenberg Group, says Raymour & Flanigan executives were interested in the space because they were targeting a location in South Philadelphia and having trouble finding a location. The deal comes at a good time for the Goldenberg Group because of the recession's tough leasing environment, he says.

"Right now, the environment is definitely challenging in terms of tenants wanting aggressive deals," Rosenzweig says.
