ORLANDO-Locally based NAI Realvest, a full-service commercial real estate firm serving Central Florida, has named Patrick Mahoney as partner, president and chief operating officer. Mahoney previously was president of Intercoastal Distributors Inc., a ceramic tile and stone distributor.
In his new role, Mahoney says he will look for growth opportunities during the ongoing recession. He also plans to add six to eight brokers to NAI Realvest's current 30-member staff with a focus on bank workouts, tenant representation and corporate services.
"There are plenty of opportunities and we are continually positioning ourselves to take full advantage of them," says Mahoney, a graduate of Furman University and Rollins College with 15 years of business management experience. He notes that NAI Realvest is also looking into potential acquisitions and mergers as a means for growing brokerage and property management.
George Livingston, the firm's founder and retired chairman, stated in a release that Mahoney "has the perspective and skills to position NAI Realvest to take advantage of the opportunities in the marketplace today, as well as those that will emerge over the next 24 months and into the future." NAI Realvest currently manages nearly four million square feet.
