BremnerDuke Developing Orthopedic Hospital

ARLINGTON, TX-A doctors group signs a 20-year build-to-suit lease. The 4.4-acre project will have an in-patient surgical center, emergency room, and other features

ARLINGTON, TX-BremnerDuke Healthcare, a division of Indianapolis-based Duke Realty Corp. has announced the development of a 55,129-square foot orthopedic and spine surgical hospital at 721 W. Highlander Blvd. The Baylor Arlington Orthopedic and Spine Hospital at Arlington (BOSHA), which is jointly owned by Baylor Health Care System, United Surgical Partners International and Arlington Orthopedic Associates, signed an agreement to lease the entire facility for 20 years.

BremnerDuke will build the project in conjunction with Arlington Orthopedic Associates. The specialty hospital will include a 24-bed in-patient surgical center, six operating rooms, 24-hour emergency department, diagnostic imaging and administrative offices.

“We are pleased to have been selected as the developer of this preeminent specialty surgical hospital on behalf of Baylor Health Care System and Arlington Orthopedic Associates,” says BremnerDuke regional executive vice president Deeni Taylor. “BremnerDuke is excited about this project, and our growing relationship with Baylor Health Care System as they’ve planned and developed healthcare facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.”
