TEC's space on the fourth floor of 47-25 34th St. in Long Island City replaces its lease of 12,000 square feet at 54-08 Vernon Blvd., also in Long Island City. A spokesman for Kalmon Dolgin tells GlobeSt.com the contractor outgrew its existing space.

In a release, KDA's Jeffrey Unger, who represented the tenant, says TEC Systems wanted to remain in Long Island City because of its "great accessibility" to clients throughout the New York tri-state region. "The property at 47-25 34th provides TEC Systems with room to grow while preserving their desirable Long Island City location."

Terms of the lease were not disclosed; it's reportedly 10 years at $15 per square foot. Peter Thorsen represented the landlord, 47-25 34th Street Associates Inc., in-house. TEC Systems has been engineering and installing building automation systems since 1981.
