City leaders approved the proposal this week, allowing the proposed 150-room Element to become the first extended-stay hotel among College Park's current list of more than 30. While the current eight-year-old ordinance is geared toward blocking drug and prostitution issues, Element officials say their hotel at the Millennium Center on Sullivan Road will cater to high-end hotel clientele.
On-site services would include groceries, restaurants, bars and coffee shops, making the hotel the first of its kind in Georgia, according to developer JHM Hotel Group. To read more from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, click here.
