New Jersey CPAs Stay Put

ROSELAND, NJ-This latest renewal extends the New Jersey Society of CPAs' office lease here to 30 years.

ROSELAND, NJ-The New Jersey Society of CPAs’ latest lease renewal here at 425 Eagle Rock Ave. this spring extends its long-time commitment at the property to a full 30 years. Richard Baumstein of Cushman & Wakefield has represented the non-profit, professional business organization throughout its history at the class A office property and has also served for 12 years as landlord rep for owner Principal Life Insurance.

NJSCPA initially leased headquarters space at 425 Eagle Rock in 1989. At the time, Seton Hall University owned the 126,710-square-foot property, which Bellmead developed in 1987 as the last building in its 280 Corporate Center. Principal Life Insurance acquired it in 1997 and immediately appointed Baumstein as exclusive leasing agent. Christian Politan and Matthew Seltzer of Cushman & Wakefield’s East Rutherford office also serve on Baumstein’s team.

“The New Jersey Society of CPAs has worked with Rich Baumstein and Cushman & Wakefield for 20 years, through four successful amendments to the original lease,” says Ellen McSherry, the society’s associate executive director. “Rich is extremely responsive and has provided us with great guidance.”
