ABS Moves Back to Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY-ABS, a global shipping classification society that left the city after 9/11, has returned with a full-floor lease of approximately 13,000 square feet at W&H Properties’ 60 E. 42nd St. Before relocating to Paramus, NJ in 2001, ABS had its New York City headquarters on the 91st floor in the North Tower at the World Trade Center.

In a release, Fred Posniak, SVP of W&H Properties, says, “It means a lot to us that ABS chose 60 E. 42nd for its return to Manhattan. We’re delighted that we could offer the firm an efficient space in a prestigious and convenient location, with financially strong ownership to help make the deal happen.” Founded in 1862, ABS is headquartered in Houston with regional offices in London and Singapore.
