According to Eric J. Maurer, Eastman Cos.' director of leasing, these transactions represent an unqualified vote of confidence in the property. He tells GlobeSt.com, "It is our feeling that the leasing activity in this exceptional office facility goes beyond our own backyard and bodes well for the northern New Jersey commercial office market in the months ahead."
The lease renewals and space expansions at 354 Eisenhower Pkwy. involved the law firm of Stein McGuire Pantages & Gigi LLP, a company that has been a tenant in the building since 1985; and Becker Meisel LLC, another long-time Eisenhower Plaza tenant. Stein McGuire Pantages & Gigi expanded its office facilities to 12,500 square feet, while Becker Meisel signed a long-term 10,000-square-foot renewal/relocation lease within the facility. Marc Trevisan of Cushman & Wakefield and Sean Morley of CB Richard Ellis represented Stein McGuire Pantages & Gigi, while J.C. Giordano of Jones Lang LaSalle's Parsippany office represented Becker Meisel LLC. Principals of both companies cited Eisenhower Plaza's exceptional office environment and its strategic location as principal reasons for the decision to expand within the existing facility.
Complementing the Stein McGuire Pantages & Gigi and Becker Meisel transactions were renewals and expansions by two long-time tenants of Eisenhower Plaza: Aronson & Fernandez, attorneys at law, and New Jersey Life & Casualty Co. Tenants since 1991, New Jersey Life & Casualty renewed its lease for headquarters and insurance operations space in the Livingston facility and was represented in the transaction by Bryn Cinque of FirstService Williams of Parsippany.
Rounding out this spate of leasing activity were new leases for office space involving Maximum Subrogation & Recovery Services LLP, a first-time Eisenhower Plaza tenant, and Pro Tel Consulting Inc., a telephone technology firm that moved into new space in the Livingston facility. Iris Borger of Sperry Van Ness represented ProTel, while Jones Lang LaSalle's Fred Hyatt represented ownership in the Pro Tel Consulting and the Maximum Subrogation & Recovery Services transactions.
"No doubt, high among the most compelling reasons for the confidence exhibited in the Eisenhower Plaza complex are the desirable state-of-the-art amenities," says Maurer, who points to Eisenhower Plaza's full-service, on-site café, wired fiber-optics, on-site parking, and strategic location as its highlighted features. Located less than 1.5 miles from Route I-280, Eisenhower Plaza is in close proximity to the Livingston Route 10 Circle, Interstate 287, and the Garden State Parkway.
