Midtown Plaza, which opened in 1986, consists of two buildings with 13 and 20 stories each, totaling 504,000 square feet. The buildings, located along Peachtree Street east of Interstate 75/85, underwent major renovations that were completed late last year.

"The space at One Midtown Plaza offered us an opportunity to bring together our outstanding resources into one high-tech office," says Frank Gorry, Aecom's senior vice president and Southeast region chief executive in Atlanta. He adds that the new space will allow the company to better serve clients while offering employees an improved work environment.

Aecom serves a broad range of markets, including transportation, facilities, environmental and energy. The publicly traded company recently reported a 20% increase in first-quarter net income of $43 million, along with a 29% rise in revenue to $1 billion.

Leslie Claxton of Tishman Speyer represented the building's owner. Anne Lofye, John Shlesinger and Sam Holmes of CB Richard Ellis negotiated on behalf of Aecom.
