Reliable is now a dusty lot, and, regrettably, there will be many, many more, as Chrysler and GM–now in Federal bankruptcy courts– shut down dealerships in all 50 states. So, what’s the good news? There will be a lot of property trades for investment brokers in commercial service firms as the shuttered dealerships–typically in great mainline locations in the Midwest–are sold and repositioned for new uses. The bad news is that we will lose a lot of entrepreneurs like Sam as Detroit is retooled.
