Brad Case, NAREIT's vice president of research and industry information, said that there is evidence that REITs are turning around in the market. Time Pire, a managing director at Heitman Real Estate, offered that the there is hope on the investment front. Jeffrey Friedman, chairman, chief executive officer and president of apartment REIT Associated Estates Realty contended that his sector is a bright spot in the industry.
