A $29-million, 96,000-square-foot student recreation center is planned at Columbus State, while a $25-million, 80,000-square-foot student wellness center is set to go up at Bainbridge. Both projects are scheduled to be completed by October 2010.
"The construction alone will provide an economic and employment boon for each institution's surrounding community and these facilities will serve each campus for decades," says Brian Terrell, managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle's Project and Development Services group in Atlanta. The Chicago-based firm has partnered with the University System of Georgia on previous projects, he adds.
