Cousins Properties Keeps CEO Transition Local

ATLANTA-Tom Bell will hand the company reins over to Larry Gellerstedt III on July 1.

ATLANTA-Locally based Cousins Properties Inc. is keeping its corporate transition grounded in city roots, with Tom Bell handing the company reins over to Larry Gellerstedt III effective July 1. Gellerstedt’s father built many of the city’s office buildings, including 191 Peachtree, which Cousins now owns and has its headquarters, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution .

“I’m not coming from the outside,” Gellerstedt told the newspaper. “I’ve been part of the company for four years and have been involved in decision making, particularly the last year or two.”
