"Syska Hennessy sought new premises for its New York headquarters that would be appropriate for its image in the marketplace," says Peter Riguardi, president of Jones Lang LaSalle's New York office, in a release. "The engineering firm was comfortable with S.L. Green's reputation and stature in New York, and was attracted by the significant amenities that 1515 Broadway could offer its employees and clients." He adds that the tenant will seek LEED certification for its new offices.
The new tenant will occupy the entire 14th and 15th floors of 1515 Broadway. It's moving from its existing offices at 11 W. 42nd St.
JLL's New York office represented both tenant and landlord in the transaction, with Riguardi and managing director Cynthia Wasserberger negotiating for Syska Hennesssey. S.L. Green was represented by Frank Doyle, international director, and SVP David Kleiner.
