Lot Less signed a 10-year lease with two five-year renewal options, the release states. It plans to open at 95 Fulton in time for holiday shopping season. The chain also has stores at 97 Chambers St. and 299 Broadway as well as other locations throughout the city.

Executive director Charles Beyda of JUD Leasing, who represented Lot Less along with JUD president Judah Sutton, says in a release that the vacant 95 Fulton space represented "an excellent opportunity" for the retailer to cement its Downtown presence. He notes that Strand closed the annex last September "after the construction at Fulton Street began and their lease ended." Famous for what the retailer describes as 18 miles of new and used books, Strand's main store is located about two miles north at 828 Broadway.

Beyda adds that "with construction on Fulton Street nearing completion, the retail space at 95 Fulton will see increased pedestrian traffic along a cobblestone street and will be the center of retail activity on this busy corridor." The landlord, 150 Williams Street LP, was represented by Naftali Braun of Braun Management.
