Friedman To Head H&K Real Estate Practice

CHICAGO-Chicago partner Peter Friedman has been appointed head of Holland & Knight's 35-attorney Chicago Real Estate Practice.

CHICAGO-Holland & Knight has tapped Chicago partner Peter Friedman to serve as head of its 35-attorney Chicago Real Estate Practice. The group combines private and public sector transactional expertise with a preeminent land use and local government practice. Friedman’s work with the Chicago practice plays a role in H&K’s national real estate practice group, which is comprised of more than 250 real estate professionals.

“While some bemoan the economy and its impact on the real estate market, I strongly believe that we have positioned our real estate practice to continue to expand and grow even in this challenging market,” Friedman says. “We do this by having a very broad practice that includes currently thriving areas of expertise such as distressed real estate debt transactions; loan and lease workouts; land use entitlements; and smart growth, new urbanism, and green building initiatives designed to promote sustainability.”
