HFF Hired to Sell Closed Dealership

SANFORD, FL-Brokers from three offices will lead marketing efforts for the 28-acre site.

SANFORD, FL-Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP has been hired to sell the former Bill Heard Chevrolet dealership at 127 N. Oregon St. The 28-acre site has been idled for nearly a year since Columbus, GA-based Bill Heard Enterprises Inc. shut down all 13 of its lots, including two in Florida.

Brad Peterson, managing director with HFF in Orlando, will work with senior managing directors Whitney Knoll in Atlanta and Doug Hazelbaker in Dallas to market the property on behalf of GE Capital Real Estate, which recently foreclosed on the site.

“The former Chevrolet dealership may present an opportunity for a new auto dealer or auto dealer with multiple dealerships to upgrade location and consolidate operations,” Peterson says. “Also, because of its outstanding Interstate 4 highway frontage, it could be an excellent redevelopment site for an office, multifamily, retail or hotel project.”
