Vermont Pure Holdings acquired assets of Blue Hills Sparing Water Company, Inc., located in Quincy. Previously, Vermont Pure had been operating a distribution center for one of its other labels out of South Borough, Matthew Morgan, associate at Parson Commercial Group tells Globest.com, but after the acquisition of Blue Hills, found it more efficient to merge the facilities at a midway point here.
"With Vermont's recent acquisition of additional market share in the Boston Area, securing 95 Shawmut Rd. was an outstanding opportunity to strategically reorganized their distribution operations, says Morgan in a release. "All of this combined with the building's superior quality and strong ownership group, made for an easy decision."
While the property was acquired in 2007 by Hall Royce Shawmut Road LLC in a $5.7-million deal with Leggat McCall Properties. Currently, the rest of the building--roughly 59,000 square feet--lie vacant, ready to be leased. Morgan of Parsons Commercial repped Vermont Pure, while Steve Clancy of CBRE represented the owner in the deal.
